Omar tomaino
Photographer and videomaker, he began his career in his late twenties, inspired by the works of photographer and documentarian Yann Arthus-Bertrand and later by other great names in photography such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Sebastião Salgado, Duane Michals, and Fan Ho, to name a few. His training is primarily self-taught, with a focus not only on technique but especially on visual storytelling.
He collaborates with journalist Luca Scarcella on the reports Hidden Superheroes and Into the Migrants' Eyes, and publishes the personal project Zoe - The Meaning of Life in 2018. He participates in initiatives like #daniElasuasquadra to raise awareness about diseases such as breast cancer and works alongside Fujifilm on the editorial project Childfood. He collaborates with dancer Rebecca Moriondo on the short film m³ and creates works for brands like Lavazza and Breguet. In every project he undertakes, from portraiture to reportage, from personal branding to brand storytelling, his main objective is to narrate the best story through images—the one that engages and endures over time. |
